How to Get Here
Our Touring Center is located in the Town of Healdsburg in northern Sonoma County, about a 1.5 hour drive north of San Francisco.
Flying To/From Sonoma County:
The three airports most convenient to Healdsburg are:
Charles M Schulz/Sonoma County Airport (STS) Conveniently located in Santa Rosa, this airport is only 15 minutes from Healdsburg and 45 minutes from Calistoga & St Helena.
Direct flights daily to/from on Alaska Air/Horizon Air :

Direct flights daily to/from onAmerican Airlines/SkyWest :
Phoenix (PHX)
With easy, convenient connectivity to eastbound destinations including: Albuquerque, Dallas, Newark, Palm Springs, Colorado, and Salt Lake City from PHX.
San Francisco International Airport (SFO)
Serviced by all major airlines and about 1.5 – 2 hours from our Healdsburg Touring Center. This is the most common option for those not able to find convenient or reasonable flights into Sonoma County Airport (STS). Most guests are then finding Uber or a car rental the best options for ground transportation to Healdsburg (see additional information below).
Oakland International Airport (OAK)
SFO and OAK airports are serviced by all major airlines, and both are about 1.5 – 2 hours from our Healdsburg Touring Center, as well as our other tour start and finish locations. Much less commonly used than San Francisco, but occasionaly guests find flights that are less expensive or more convenient into Oakland.
Ground Transportation:
Uber:
Uber has become the preferred method for ground transportation to/from San Francisco and the major airports (If coming into Sonoma County Airport a Taxi may be more convenient due to restrictions). Current Uber X rates from SFO and OAK are $100-$140 and from City of San Francisco $80-$120. You can easily get a more accurate estimate for your needs at: https://www.uber.com/ride/
Rental Car: Renting a car is the most flexible way to get to and from Wine Country, and often the best value as well. It is the best option if you planning on visiting other areas before or after your tour.
Car rentals are available at all airports, as well as from locations throughout the city of San Francisco, and whether renting or participating in a tour, free parking is available at our Healdsburg Touring Center. This option is less convenient for tours starting and finishing at different locations, which includes all tours going Napa County.
Although somewhat counterintuitive, due to one way rental fees, a round-trip car rental is often a better value.
Airporter:
The airport shuttle is typically the least convenient option; however, it can be a little more economical for a single or couple.
SFO/OAK to/from Healdsburg or Santa Rosa: The Sonoma County Airport Express offers daily express shuttle service from SFO/OAK airports to Sonoma County Airport (STS) and back. The shuttle runs every hour, on the half hour, from 530am to 1230am, and schedules are available here.
Tickets are $34 per person one way, or $66 round trip. Military/senior/student fares are also available. Reservations are not required, and fares can be pre-purchased online (credit/debit card) or paid for on the shuttle (cash or personal check only).
The travel time to Sonoma Country about two hours, and should you need a taxi upon arrival, the driver will radio ahead to ensure one is waiting. Cost of taxi is typically $35-$45
To reach Healdsburg, disembark at the Charles M Schultz/Sonoma County Airport stop. Our Healdsburg Touring Center and Healdsburg lodgings are a 15 minute taxi ride away.
Private Car/Limo Service: Have a large group or need to get to or from the city of San Francisco? Then hiring private car service may be the best option. While these services are typically more expensive than an airporter or car rental, they offer comfortable and stylish door-to-door service. Here are a few services to consider:

Taxi: If flying into or arriving at STS, taxi is the most convenient way to get to Healdsburg or Santa Rosa. Taxis are readily available outside the airport terminal.
