Meet the Staff: 

John Mastrianni: I spent 25 years in the bike business and held every job imaginable; from bike assembler to mechanic and service manager to shop owner.  When I wasn't selling and servicing bikes I was riding them: racing on the pro circuit, touring in Europe- I even spent a year working as a bike messenger in NYC.  One thing that all this experience has taught me is that the secret to a wonderful ride is often in the details.  A clean smooth running bike, a well chosen route, the right attitude and a great lunch all add up to a fantastic day.

Heather Mastrianni:  Heather is the driving creative force behind Wine Country Bikes and "she's not afraid of color!"  Since retiring from a professional cycling career, that included completing the Women's Tour de France three times and victories in major European and American races, her irrepressible energy has poured into her artwork and Wine Country Bikes.  Step into our Touring Center and you'll be entering a 2500 sq. foot piece of art in the making.

Gerard Nebesky:  Known locally as THE Paella Guy.  Known around the world by everybody he's ever met as just a great guy.  If you tour with Gerard you are guaranteed a unique insider's view of the Wine Country.  Former owner of the Bohemian Cafe in Occidental, he is a chef to the stars of Napa, Sonoma & Hollywood.  One day he is cooking for the cast of Saturday Night Live and the next he is diving for abalone to feed his friends (us) waiting on the beach.  Check out his website at GerardsPaella.com.

Jay Delaney: Jay has been leading tours for us for over 5 years and for his own clients for many years before that.  He is an avid cyclist, hiker and wine connoisseur.  If you want to know where to get a great deal on killer Pinot, or who used to own a particular winery and why they sold it for a song, Jay usually knows. 

Quoyle aka Bubba Q: is a deaf Fox Terrier who enjoys running and leisurely bike rides with his human life companions.  He is 5 years old and single, but neutered.  His interests are birds, bugs and fine organic dog foods.  His goals are world peace and to create his own line of designer clothing.

Chance: She started life as a deaf little stray wandering the streets of New Mexico.  Using all of her innate cunning, she worked her way to a kill shelter in Martinez, CA-  where she could be snatched from the jaws of death by none other than Bubba Q himself.  Now she's in love!

Partridge is also known as Part Weed, Weed and The Weeder.  He is 3 years old and single, but neutered.  He's a frustrated gourmand with a love for all things cheese.
